Aurora
Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. Professionally known as Aurora and sometimes stylized with the letters in uppercase as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released by Decca Records Decca Records in May 2015 and received a lot of praise from music bloggers and the press. Half the World Away - by Oasis - for John Lewis' Christmas ad and Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole is already two covers worth noting that the singer has created. She gained some further recognition through a tweet from Katy Perry where Perry endorsed her track Runaway. Enjoy her day. Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music is when she discovered a grand piano that was in the attic. The piano was fascinating to her its capabilities. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. The Aksnes family encouraged her to not to pursue music solely to have fun or for the sake of development but instead, she was encouraged to pursue it. The singer began to write lyrics of her own. Alongside Bjork She also cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. Her mother had told her the songs she composed might not gain fame for her rather to help people to see their own value and impact on this world, she started singing them in public. She began playing the piano as her primary instrument, at six. She started making music at the age of nine. It wasn't until her 14th birthday when she shared her story with her parents. Aurora's accomplishments were never the goal of her. The only thing she loves is writing music. To her music, it is the most efficient method of expressing anything.
