Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman holds an Honorary Chair in Psychology at the University of California Davis and is the Director of its Center for Public Policy Research. She is widely acclaimed as a pioneer in the field of witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory in the legal setting. Professor Goodman is an prolific writer who has received many awards and grants. She has been a consultant to numerous organizations and government officials across the world regarding policies as well as research on child victims in the legal system. She acts as consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is also a Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Practice and Policy American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56). Professor Goodman is also a part of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has been president of The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division and three Divisions of Children and Families Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
